Chapter 16

1.1
I heard a loud voice out of the temple, saying to the seven angels, “Go and pour out the seven bowls of the wrath of God on the earth!”
2.1
The first went, and poured out his bowl into the earth, and it became a harmful and evil sore on the people who had the mark of the beast, and who worshiped his image.
3.1
The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man. Every living thing in the sea died.
7.1
The third poured out his bowl into the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood. I heard the angel of the waters saying, “You are righteous, who are and who were, O Holy One, because you have judged these things. For they poured out the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink. They deserve this.” I heard the altar saying, “Yes, Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous are your judgments.”
9.1
The fourth poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was given to him to scorch men with fire. People were scorched with great heat, and people blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues. They didn’t repent and give him glory.
11.1
The fifth poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom was darkened. They gnawed their tongues because of the pain, and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores. They still didn’t repent of their works.
12.1
The sixth poured out his bowl on the great river, the Euphrates. Its water was dried up,
12.2
that the way might be prepared for the kings that come from the sunrise.
13.1
I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits, something like frogs;
14.1
for they are spirits of demons, performing signs; which go out to the kings of the whole inhabited earth, to gather them together for the war of that great day of God, the Almighty.
15.1
“Behold, I come like a thief.
15.2
Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his clothes, so that he doesn’t walk naked, and they see his shame.”
16.1
He gathered them together into the place which is called in Hebrew, “Megiddo”.
17.1
The seventh poured out his bowl into the air. A loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, “It is done!”
18.1
There were lightnings, sounds, and thunders; and there was a great earthquake, such as has not happened since there were men on the earth, so great an earthquake, and so mighty.
19.1
The great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell.
20.1
Babylon the great was remembered in the sight of God, to give to her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. Every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
21.1
Great hailstones, about the weight of a talent, came down out of the sky on people.
21.2
People blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, for this plague is exceedingly severe.

Chapter 17

1.1
One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying, “Come here. I will show you the judgment of the great prostitute who sits on many waters,
2.1
with whom the kings of the earth committed sexual immorality.
2.2
Those who dwell in the earth were made drunken with the wine of her sexual immorality.”
3.1
He carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness. I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet-colored beast, full of blasphemous names, having seven heads and ten horns.
4.1
The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls,
4.2
having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of the sexual immorality of the earth.
5.1
And on her forehead a name was written, “MYSTERY,
5.2
BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF THE PROSTITUTES AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”
6.1
I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. When I saw her, I wondered with great amazement. The angel said to me, “Why do you wonder?
7.1
I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns.

Chapter 16

1

I heard a loud voice out of the temple, saying to the seven angels, “Go and pour out the seven bowls of the wrath of God on the earth!”

I[G2532] heard[G191] a[G2532] loud[G3173] voice[G5456] out[G1537] of[G1537] the[G2532] temple,[G3485] saying[G3004] to[G1519] the[G2532] seven[G2033] angels,[G32] “Go[G5217] and[G2532] pour[G1632] out[G1537] the[G2532] seven[G2033] bowls[G5357] of[G1537] the[G2532] wrath[G2372] of[G1537] God[G2316] on[G1519] the[G2532] earth!”[G1093]
2

The first went, and poured out his bowl into the earth, and it became a harmful and evil sore on the people who had the mark of the beast, and who worshiped his image.

The[G2532] first[G4413] went,[G2532] and[G2532] poured[G1632] out[G1632] his[G1519] bowl[G5357] into[G1519] the[G2532] earth,[G1093] and[G2532] it[G2532] became[G1096] a[G2192] harmful[G983] and[G2532] painful[G4190] sore[G1668] on[G1909] the[G2532] people[G3588] who[G3588] had[G2192] the[G2532] mark[G5480] of[G2532] the[G2532] beast,[G2342] and[G2532] who[G3588] worshiped[G4352] his[G1519] image.[G1504]
3

The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man. Every living thing in the sea died.

The[G1722] second[G1208] angel[G1632] poured[G1632] out[G1632] his[G3956] bowl[G5357] into[G1519] the[G1722] sea,[G2281] and[G2532] it[G2532] became[G1096] blood[G129] as[G5613] of[G2532] a[G1096] dead[G3498] man.[G3956] Every[G3956] living[G2222] thing[G3956] in[G1722] the[G1722] sea[G2281] died.[G3588]
4
The third poured out his bowl into the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood.
The[G2532] third[G5154] poured[G1632] out[G1632] his[G1519] bowl[G5357] into[G1519] the[G2532] rivers[G4215] and[G2532] springs[G4077] of[G2532] water,[G5204] and[G2532] they[G2532] became[G1096] blood.[G129]
5
I heard the angel of the waters saying, “You are righteous, who are and who were, O Holy One, because you have judged these things.
I[G2532] heard[G191] the[G2532] angel[G32] of[G2532] the[G2532] waters[G5204] saying,[G3004] “You[G3754] are[G1510] righteous,[G1342] who[G3588] are[G1510] and[G2532] who[G3588] were,[G1510] O[G5599] Holy[G3741] One,[G3588] because[G3754] you[G3754] have[G2532] judged[G2919] these[G3778] things.[G3778]
6
For they poured out the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink. They deserve this.”
For[G3754] they[G2532] poured[G1632] out[G1632] the[G2532] blood[G129] of[G2532] saints[G40] and[G2532] prophets,[G4396] and[G2532] you[G3754] have[G2532] given[G1325] them[G1325] blood[G129] to[G2532] drink.[G4095] They[G2532] deserve[G514] this.”[G3748]
7

I heard the altar saying, “Yes, Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous are your judgments.”

I[G2532] heard[G191] the[G2532] altar[G2379] saying,[G3004] “Yes,[G3483] Lord[G2962] God,[G2316] the[G2532] Almighty,[G3841] true[G3588] and[G2532] righteous[G1342] are[G3588] your[G2962] judgments.”[G2920]
8
The fourth poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was given to him to scorch men with fire.
The[G1722] fourth[G5067] poured[G1632] out[G1632] his[G1909] bowl[G5357] on[G1909] the[G1722] sun,[G2246] and[G2532] it[G2532] was[G3588] given[G1325] to[G2532] him[G3588] to[G2532] scorch[G2739] men[G3588] with[G1722] fire.[G4442]
9

People were scorched with great heat, and people blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues. They didn’t repent and give him glory.

People[G3778] were[G3588] scorched[G2739] with[G2532] great[G3173] heat,[G2738] and[G2532] people[G3778] blasphemed[G987] the[G2532] name[G3686] of[G2316] God[G2316] who[G3588] has[G2192] the[G2532] power[G1849] over[G1909] these[G3778] plagues.[G4127] They[G2532] didn’t[G3756] repent[G3340] and[G2532] give[G1325] him[G3588] glory.[G1391]
10
The fifth poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom was darkened. They gnawed their tongues because of the pain,
The[G2532] fifth[G3991] poured[G1632] out[G1537] his[G1909] bowl[G5357] on[G1909] the[G2532] throne[G2362] of[G1537] the[G2532] beast,[G2342] and[G2532] his[G1909] kingdom[G932] was[G1096] darkened.[G4656] They[G2532] gnawed[G3145] their[G2532] tongues[G1100] because[G1537] of[G1537] the[G2532] pain,[G4192]
11

and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores. They still didn’t repent of their works.

and[G2532] they[G2532] blasphemed[G987] the[G2532] God[G2316] of[G1537] heaven[G3772] because[G1537] of[G1537] their[G2532] pains[G4192] and[G2532] their[G2532] sores.[G1668] They[G2532] still[G2089] didn’t[G3756] repent[G3340] of[G1537] their[G2532] works.[G2041]
12

The sixth poured out his bowl on the great river, the Euphrates. Its water was dried up, that the way might be prepared for the kings that come from the sunrise.

The[G2532] sixth[G1623] poured[G1632] out[G1632] his[G1909] bowl[G5357] on[G1909] the[G2532] great[G3173] river,[G4215] the[G2532] Euphrates.[G2166] Its[G846] water[G5204] was[G3588] dried[G3583] up,[G3583] that[G2443] the[G2532] way[G3598] might[G2532] be[G2532] prepared[G2090] for[G1909] the[G2532] kings[G3588] that[G2443] come[G2532] from[G2532] the[G2532] sunrise.[G395]
13

I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits, something like frogs;

I[G2532] saw[G3708] coming[G2342] out[G1537] of[G1537] the[G2532] mouth[G4750] of[G1537] the[G2532] dragon,[G1404] and[G2532] out[G1537] of[G1537] the[G2532] mouth[G4750] of[G1537] the[G2532] beast,[G2342] and[G2532] out[G1537] of[G1537] the[G2532] mouth[G4750] of[G1537] the[G2532] false[G5578] prophet,[G5578] three[G5140] unclean[G169] spirits,[G4151] something[G3708] like[G5613] frogs;[G944]
14

for they are spirits of demons, performing signs; which go out to the kings of the whole inhabited earth, to gather them together for the war of that great day of God, the Almighty.

for[G1063] they[G3588] are[G1510] spirits[G4151] of[G4151] demons,[G1140] performing[G4160] signs,[G4592] which[G3739] go[G1607] out[G1607] to[G1519] the[G1519] kings[G3588] of[G4151] the[G1519] whole[G3650] inhabited[G3625] earth,[G3625] to[G1519] gather[G4863] them[G3588] together[G4863] for[G1063] the[G1519] war[G4171] of[G4151] that[G3739] great[G3173] day[G2250] of[G4151] God[G2316] the[G1519] Almighty.[G3841]
15

“Behold, I come like a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his clothes, so that he doesn’t walk naked, and they see his shame.”

Behold,[G2400] I[G2532] come[G2064] like[G5613] a[G5613] thief.[G2812] Blessed[G3107] is[G3588] he[G2532] who[G2532] watches,[G3588] and[G2532] keeps[G5083] his[G3708] clothes,[G2440] so[G2443] that[G2443] he[G2532] doesn’t[G3361] walk[G4043] naked,[G1131] and[G2532] they[G2532] see[G3708] his[G3708] shame.”[G152]
16

He gathered them together into the place which is called in Hebrew, “Megiddo”.

He[G2532] gathered[G4863] them[G3588] together[G4863] into[G1519] the[G2532] place[G5117] which[G3588] is[G3588] called[G2564] in[G1519] Hebrew,[G1447] “Harmagedon”.[G717]

17

The seventh poured out his bowl into the air. A loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, “It is done!”

The[G2532] seventh[G1442] poured[G1632] out[G1831] his[G1909] bowl[G5357] into[G1909] the[G2532] air.[G3772] A[G1096] loud[G3173] voice[G5456] came[G1096] out[G1831] of[G1537] the[G2532] temple[G3485] of[G1537] heaven,[G3772] from[G1537] the[G2532] throne,[G2362] saying,[G3004] “It[G2532] is[G3588] done!”[G1096]
18

There were lightnings, sounds, and thunders; and there was a great earthquake, such as has not happened since there were men on the earth, so great an earthquake, and so mighty.

There[G2532] were[G3588] lightnings,[G796] sounds,[G5456] and[G2532] thunders;[G1027] and[G2532] there[G2532] was[G1096] a[G1096] great[G3173] earthquake[G4578] such[G3779] as[G2532] has[G3739] not[G3756] happened[G1096] since[G1096] there[G2532] were[G3588] men[G3173] on[G1909] the[G2532] earth[G1093] —so[G3779] great[G3173] an[G2532] earthquake[G4578] and[G2532] so[G3779] mighty.[G3173]
19

The great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. Babylon the great was remembered in the sight of God, to give to her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

The[G2532] great[G3173] city[G4172] was[G1096] divided[G1096] into[G1519] three[G5140] parts,[G3313] and[G2532] the[G2532] cities[G4172] of[G2316] the[G2532] nations[G1484] fell.[G4098] Babylon[G897] the[G2532] great[G3173] was[G1096] remembered[G3403] in[G1519] the[G2532] sight[G1799] of[G2316] God,[G2316] to[G1519] give[G1325] to[G1519] her[G1325] the[G2532] cup[G4221] of[G2316] the[G2532] wine[G3631] of[G2316] the[G2532] fierceness[G2372] of[G2316] his[G1519] wrath.[G3709]
20

Every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

Every[G3956] island[G3520] fled[G5343] away,[G5343] and[G2532] the[G2532] mountains[G3735] were[G2532] not[G3756] found.[G2147]
21.0
Great hailstones, about the weight of a talent,[1] came down out of the sky on people. People blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, for this plague is exceedingly severe.
Great[G3173] hailstones,[G5464] about[G5613] the[G2532] weight[G922] of[G1537] a[G5613] talent,[G5006] came[G2597] down[G2597] out[G1537] of[G1537] the[G2532] sky[G3772] on[G1909] people.[G1510] People[G1510] blasphemed[G987] God[G2316] because[G3754] of[G1537] the[G2532] plague[G4127] of[G1537] the[G2532] hail,[G5464] for[G3754] this[G3588] plague[G4127] was[G1510] exceedingly[G4970] severe.[G3173]

Chapter 17

1

One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying, “Come here. I will show you the judgment of the great prostitute who sits on many waters,

2

with whom the kings of the earth committed sexual immorality. Those who dwell in the earth were made drunken with the wine of her sexual immorality.”

3

He carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness. I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet-colored beast, full of blasphemous names, having seven heads and ten horns.

4

The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of the sexual immorality of the earth.

5

And on her forehead a name was written, “MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF THE PROSTITUTES AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”

6

I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. When I saw her, I wondered with great amazement.

7

The angel said to me, “Why do you wonder? I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns.

8

The beast that you saw was, and is not; and is about to come up out of the abyss and to go into destruction. Those who dwell on the earth and whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world will marvel when they see that the beast was, and is not, and shall be present.

9

Here is the mind that has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits.

10

They are seven kings. Five have fallen, the one is, the other has not yet come. When he comes, he must continue a little while.
