5
- There will be no night, and they need no lamp light or sun light; for the Lord God will illuminate them. They will reign forever and ever.
- He said to me, “These words are faithful and true. The Lord God of the spirits of the prophets sent his angel to show to his bondservants the things which must happen soon.”

Invisible: Sent His Angel

The connection is in Revelation 22:6:
The Lord God of the spirits of the prophets, “sent his angel to show to his bondservants the things which must happen soon.”
The words are slightly different, but the meaning is the same as Revelation 1:
“Which he sent and made known by his angel to his servant, John,”
Word Chain
Let’s look at what leads up to this phrase in Revelation 22:
- The words, “There will be no night, and they need no lamp light or sun light; for the Lord God will illuminate them. They will reign forever and ever.”
- The promise, “These words are Faithful and True.”
- The sending of the angel to show his servants.
In these two verses of Revelation 22, it appears that at 3 or 4 things are happening. God illuminates. People reign. Words are Faithful and True. An angel is sent.
In Revelation 1:1, only 2 things seem to be going on:
- The revelation is given to Jesus to show to us.
- He sends it by his angel to his servant John.
In Parallel
If we put these two passages verses side by side, and look at what comes after the giving of the revelation, up to the sending of the angel, perhaps it will reveal something.
That’s what Strings do. They take two passages in the bible and line them up side by side. I think of it as dangling two passages, like two threads. They will have clear points of connection. Like an angel sent.
I’ve found that properly aligned, two passages will work together to reveal a deeper story. Zerah.com makes it easy to explore the bible this way.
